Satellite receiver

Antenna connections are available for all office units and meeting rooms. An additional satellite receiver with preparation system in modular construction is also installed. It is dimensioned for the reception of the satellites ASTRA and EUTELSAT (Eastern Europe) with the possibility to transmit and feed 20 Sat programs for the time being. In addition up to 3 house-owned video/audio programs (i.e. for conferences with foreign languages) may also be fed upon request.

Audio/Video system

This system supplies the areas of the conference room, the foyer and the meeting forum. A central cabinet has been installed in the conference area to include all necessary devices and components.
The essential characteristics of the system are:
  • Acustic support of the lecturers in the conference/seminar room
  • Acustic and visual transmission of the meetings into the community areas and into the house-owned TV reception net
  • Possible supply of external audio/video sources with retransmission from the conference and translater system
  • Possibility of feeding and transmitting the audio/video signals from the conference and interpreter unit

Conference system

In the conference room a modular discussion and conference system is available to come up with the multiple requirements of participants and visitors. Its simple wiring as well as its digital signal processing guarantee an easy service and high exploitation capacity. The planned size of the unit results from a possible capacity of 24 participant seats in the conference room. For two seats, each, one delegate's phone station is available. The system genereates the required interfaces for interpreter function, transmission to public address(PA) systems and wireless PA systems, as well as a control function for the automatic, participant-directed approach of video cameras.

Interpreter system

For the interpreter service the discussion system was completed by the necessary components. The system has the necessary transmission capacity for one room language and two foreign languages. The interpreter boxes may be freely coordinated with the languages on the respective channels. The foreign languages are transmitted to the delegate's phone stations with channel selector via the standard system cabling. The participants will get wire-bound head sets for this purpose. The foreign language may also be transmitted by an infrared system. The interpreters are accomodated in two mobile cabines with two seats, each.

Infrared PA system

In order to address the visitors in the foyer area in case of conferences/interpreter service wireless transmission by infrared technics is possible. The room language as well as the foreign languages are transmitted by in infrared control sender with various infrared radiators. The delegates or visitors get infrared receivers with channel selector for the language required.
Conference and interpreter systems as well as the infrared transmitter system are designed for mobile use at other locations, as well.

Projection surfaces

In the conference room and in th foyer electromotive screens of appr. 2,00m prejection width are available.

Video projection technics

The following devices are installed in the respective areas for audio-visual presentations:

Conference room: LCD Video and Data projector
                          S-VHS video recorder
                          DVD player
                          TV
                          Radio
                          CD-Player
                          Double cassette video recorder
                          Visualizer (camera for documents)
                          Overhead projector
Media control by "Touch Screen" operation

Foyer area: LCD Video and data projector

Community forum: Large-screen plasma TV

Illumination

The growing use of visual media in meeting and conference rooms requires artifical illumination to come up with all kinds of service conditions. The lighting systems have to be dimensioned according to DIN standard 5035, part 4. The optimum visual comfort for the respective application is achieved by alternate rating and memorizing of different light scenes in advance. By means of these pre-programmed light-scene conditions the respective situations for general, lecture, overhead and video illumination may be called off and the lighting plant be adjusted accordingly.
